About PNAA

Established in 1979, the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. (PNAA) is a 501c(6) non-profit professional nursing organization representing 55 chapters with over 5,000 ++ members. Our mission is to uphold and foster the positive image and welfare of Filipino-American nurses, promote professional excellence, and contribute to significant outcomes to healthcare and society through education, research, and clinical practice. PNAA is a member of the National Coalition for Ethnic Minority Nurses Association (NCEMNA) and an affiliate member of the American Nurses Association.


What we do

PNAA offers its members mentorship, leadership development, and educational programs essential for professional advancement through its regional, national, and international conferences in the U.S. and in the Philippines. The Leadership Institute provides career development, team building activities, and organizational skills program for rising and future leaders of PNAA. PNAA actively advocates and collaborates with other organizations/agencies to address and support policy development and legislation that affect the nursing profession, minority health, and diversity in the workforce.

JNPARR

The Journal of Nursing Practice Applications and Reviews of Research (JNPARR) is the official international and peer reviewed academic publication of PNAA on nursing practice, education, administration and research. JNPARR publish research reports, evidence-based studies, and articles to promote culturally competent nursing care for clients and their families and enhance professional development of nurses. JNPARR is published twice a year in the spring and fall.


PNAA Regional, National and International Conferences

Join us as a sponsor, exhibitor or advertiser at our regional, national and /or international conferences. These conferences are attended by Filipino-American nurses that represent various area of practice including senior-level management from major health systems /hospitals, advanced practice, clinical nursing, and academia. The conferences offers a great opportunity to showcase and provide visibility to your products, services or organization.

PNAA Regional Conferences is a two day event that are held twice a year in the spring and fall season and sponsored by one of the PNAA regions: Western Region, North Central Region, West Central Region and Eastern Region. Regional Conferences attract 150-200 registered nurses and students.

PNAA Annual National Conference is a three day event that are held once a year in the month of June-July. The annual conference attract a national audience throughout the US and is usually attended by 250-350 participants.

International Nursing Conference is a two day event that is held once every two years in the Philippines in collaboration with Philippine partner nursing organizations- Philippine Nurses Association of Manila and Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing(ADPCN). This event attracts an international and local audience throughout the world and the Philippines and is usually attended by 250-300 participants.
