MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear PNAA Members, Chapter Leaders, and Partners,

It is with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility that I begin my term as President of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). I am honored by the trust you have placed in me and humbled by the legacy of leadership, service, and advocacy that has shaped PNAA for more than four decades.

PNAA stands on a firm foundation built by dedicated leaders, volunteers, and members across the country and around the world. I extend my sincere appreciation to our outgoing President and Board for their stewardship, resilience, and unwavering commitment to our mission. Their work ensures continuity and strength as we move forward together.

As we enter this new chapter, my focus will be clear: to strengthen PNAA’s role as a national voice for nurses, a trusted advocate for health equity, and a unifying force for Filipino nurses across generations, specialties, and borders. In the coming months, we will prioritize listening, alignment, and thoughtful action, grounded in our values and responsive to the evolving healthcare landscape.

The first phase of my presidency will emphasize collaboration and transparency. We will engage our chapters and committees, assess our programs and partnerships, and align our collective efforts with strategic priorities that advance leadership development, workforce support, policy advocacy, and global nursing engagement. This is not about change for its own sake, but about ensuring PNAA remains relevant, impactful, and sustainable for the future.

PNAA’s strength has always come from its people. I invite every member, students, early-career nurses, seasoned leaders, and retirees to stay engaged, share ideas, and contribute to our shared vision. Together, we will continue to elevate the nursing profession, advocate for our communities, and honor the contributions of Filipino nurses to health systems worldwide.

Thank you for your confidence, your service, and your commitment to PNAA. I look forward to working alongside you as we take this next step, united with purpose and grounded in service.

With respect and gratitude,

Pablito Roberto “Bob” Gahol
